STDOAbout
We do not keep a team busy. We cast one.
AllCapStudio started in 2023 for a boring reason: we kept turning down good projects because the right person for them was not on our payroll, and taking them anyway would have meant doing the work badly.

WHYThe argument
A bench beats a payroll.
An agency with fifteen people on staff has a structural problem it cannot admit to: those fifteen people need work every month, whether or not they are the right fifteen for your project.
That is where the recommendation to make a 2D explainer comes from when a 3D one was the right call, and it is why so much agency work looks like the same house style applied to different logos. It is not incompetence. It is utilisation.
The other end of the market, freelance marketplaces, solves that by handing you the casting problem. You get range, and you also get to vet portfolios, negotiate rates, chase files and hope that three strangers produce something coherent together.
We took the middle. A vetted bench of around forty creatives, cast per project, wrapped in one producer, one schedule and one quality bar. You get the range of a marketplace with the accountability of a studio, and you never manage anyone.
There is one honest trade-off, and it is worth stating: we are not the cheapest option, because the producer layer is real work and we pay the bench properly. If price is the only variable that matters, a marketplace will beat us. If the video has to work, it usually will not.
CASTThe bench
Who we cast from.
Everyone on it has shipped paid work with us. Nobody joins from a portfolio alone. The first project is always a small one.

Send a brief and the reply will name the director, animator or editor we would put on it, with their reel attached. If they do not convince you, we cast again.
