S-02Product Demo Videos

Product demo videos that show the work

A demo that walks the menu bar loses. A demo that follows one person finishing one task is the one that gets forwarded to the rest of the buying committee.

AWhy this way

Demo data is a production problem

Most in-house demos look unconvincing because the seeded data is obviously fake: three rows, all named Test. We build a plausible dataset before we record a frame, because credibility in a demo comes almost entirely from what is on screen.

Cut for the buying committee, not the champion

Your champion already gets it. The demo has to survive being forwarded to a finance lead and a security reviewer who will watch ninety seconds at most. We script for that second audience and cut the film accordingly.

Made to survive a release

Software changes. We build demos in layers (capture, callouts, voice), so a redesigned screen means replacing one capture rather than commissioning the film again.

BWhat ships

Everything in the delivery folder.

Included as standard, not quoted as extras once the project is already underway.

Narrative
One job to be done, chosen with your sales team, scripted end to end.
Screen capture
Clean, high-frame-rate capture with seeded demo data that looks real.
UI motion
Callouts, zooms and cursor choreography that direct the eye at every beat.
Voice or captions
A recorded read, or a fully captioned silent cut for feed placement.
Sales cutdowns
Feature-level clips your AEs can drop into a thread without sending the whole film.
Source files
Project files and assets, so a UI change does not mean a reshoot.

CStyles

Four ways we build it.

We recommend one on the first call and tell you what it costs against the alternatives.

  • Sales demo

Two to three minutes, sent before or after a call to warm the wider committee.

  • Website demo

Sixty to ninety seconds, autoplay-safe, silent-first with captions.

  • Onboarding walkthrough

A short series, one task per film, built to sit inside the product.

  • Hardware demo

Filmed product with 3D cutaways where the internals matter.

EHow it runs

The same six stages, every time

  1. 01

    Brief

A 45-minute call and a written brief back to you the same week. We ask what the video is competing against for attention, who has to approve it, and what happens if it works. If a video is the wrong fix, this is where we say so.

    Day 1
  2. 02

    Cast

We assign the project from our partner bench: a director, an animator and an editor picked for this brief rather than whoever is free. You see who is on it and the work they have done before, not just a studio reel.

    Days 2–4
  3. 03

    Script

Two drafts. Written against your sales calls and your positioning, not your feature list. Nothing goes to storyboard until the script is approved, because every problem is cheaper to fix here than anywhere downstream.

    Week 1–2
  4. 04

    Board

Style frames and a timed storyboard. You approve the look and the beat structure before a single frame is animated or a crew is booked. This is the last cheap stage, and we use it properly.

    Week 2–3
  5. 05

    Build

Production or animation, sound design, grade and mix. You see a rough cut at the halfway mark rather than a finished film at the end, so notes land while they are still inexpensive to act on.

    Week 3–5
  6. 06

    Deliver

Master file, cutdowns, vertical crops, captions and source project files. Ownership transfers on delivery. The work, the assets and the licences are yours.

    Week 5

FQuestions

Product Demo Videos, answered

An explainer argues that the problem is worth solving and that your approach is the right one. It is usually animated and sits early in the funnel. A demo shows the software actually doing the work, using real UI, for someone who is already convinced the problem exists. Most teams need both, and they are rarely the same film.
