Six onboarding walkthroughs, one recording session
A developer tool with a documentation problem. We scripted six single-task walkthroughs and shot them in one day against a seeded workspace.
The problem
Quarry Labs had thorough documentation and a support queue full of questions the documentation already answered. Developers were not reading it; they were opening a ticket. The team suspected video would help but had been quoted for a single polished overview film, which would have solved none of it.
What we did
We argued for the opposite: six short films, one task each, embedded at the point in the product where that task happens. Then we built a seeded workspace with plausible project data so the terminal output looked like real work rather than a tutorial. All six were recorded in a single session against that workspace, which is what made the format affordable.

Outcome
Support tickets tagged onboarding fell by 41% over the following quarter.
Finished films and full case notes are shared on request, limited to what the client has cleared for release.
